Friday Night Funkin' is a fun music game from indie developer, ninjamuffin99, that challenges your sense of rhythm. However, while it stars both Boyfriend and Girlfriend, only the male character is getting all the action. The Girlfriend is only there as a supporting character.  Friday Night Funkin' Girlfriend Mode aims to shift the focus to a female character. This game utility swaps the gender of the Boyfriend. With this skin, you become a female version of The Boyfriend.

What is Friday Night Funkin' Girlfriend Mode?

Friday Night Funkin' Girlfriend Mode is only a skin mod. The game will still have the same gameplay as the original title and will have the same cast. However, there will be a slight change to the Boyfriend as he will become a she. The mod doesn't swap the Boyfriend and the Girlfriend. With this, the Girlfriend will still be a supporting character, cheering you while sitting on top of the stereo. The Boyfriend will only become female.

The controls will also stay the same. To beat Dad and everyone who stands in the way of your night kiss, you will need to match the arrow you press to the shape provided on the screen. As with the original game, you need to match the arrows and shape as best as you can. The meter, which determined the outcome of your battle will still be there. With this, you can track your progress.

Friday Night Funkin' Girlfriend Mode is still in the development stage, as is the game. Since the mod only changes the gender of the Boyfriend, players of the original game will not have a hard time adjusting to the gameplay. However, expect a few issues as you play. There are times when the sprites are very off when you try a song. Worse, there might be a few crashes as you play.

All in all, Friday Night Funkin' Girlfriend Mode is a game that gives the same fun experience as the original title. Well, it should, seeing as it only changes the main lead to a female. Everything in it is the same as Friday Night Funkin', from the gameplay to the controls. It shouldn't be a problem if you enjoy playing the game and would like to see a not-so-new character. However, if you are looking for something new, this game does not have it.
